History of this website

In May of 1999, we asked David Hogan if we could make his preaching available on the Internet, because we felt that his message about Jesus was true and his no-compromise attitude was refreshing. We felt that the church in general had replaced preaching with teaching, and David Hogan was a preacher. I had the computer skills, and so my wife and I set up the website and collected recordings of his preaching from around the world, and made the recordings available on the Internet, cassettes, and eventually on two CD sets "Fire of God" and "Fire of God 2". The website was visted by thousands of people from all over the planet, and CDs were sent to anyone who requested them. We filled requests from every major county, and many smaller ones. We estimate that we sent out around 30,000 CDs over 9 1/2 years.

We were never officially part of Freedom Ministries, we just felt that the preaching about Jesus was very important and people should be able to hear it. We never asked for any money, and only very occasionally would anyone send us anything for the CDs. (For the curious, we estimate we received less than $500 total over the 9 years we did this.) We saw it as a ministry of a sort, and were happy to do it free of charge. We didn't expect any "special treatment" from the Hogans, and didn't receive any outside of an invitation to their work in Mexico, and some greetings at various meetings.

Today, Freedom Ministries has their own website and ability to make recordings available, and so we don't feel the need to continue making the recordings available or to continue the CD distribution. If you want the CDs, please find someone that has them and make copies. We were not asked to stop, nor has there been any conflict between us and the Hogans. We wish them well.
